Membership

BECOME A MEMBER​
​

The Chaminade Club  Musicales and Teas are open to the classical music loving public free of charge.  We do however, respectfully request donations at each musicale, and encourage membership in the club. We currently have over 150 members in the Chaminade Club, and our members attend musicales to either perform or listen appreciatively.  

 

Becoming a Member:

All our members pay an annual $25.00 in dues, collected each spring for the upcoming season.  One may join the Club at any time, even directly following a musicale and tea.  Wishes to that effect may be made known to any one of the Board members. You may also join online by utilizing our registration form and payment system ​on this page.

DONATIONS:​

Along with annual dues, we are most grateful to accept a tax-deductible donation of any amount.  These extra dollars are a great help in minimizing operational  costs. You may make a donation by visiting our online donation page linked below.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS:​
​

We support the musical endeavors of young adult musicians through a scholarship competition.  We maintain several endowed funds which provide scholarship prizes to student musician recipients.  A scholarship fund may be established at any time by contacting the treasurer.   

PERFORMER MEMBERS

​

For performer members,  it is understood that they possess professional-calibre musical skills, and fulfill repertoire requirements  either in documented experience or in an audition before members of our Executive Board.

 

Audition Requirements:

 

Piano:

Baroque sonata:  1 movement (being the most challenging)

Classical sonata:  1 movement

1 Romantic piece

1 20th century piece

 

Voice:

1 operatic aria in Italian

1 oratorio selection in English

1 German lieder

1 French art song

 

Other instruments:

2 or 3 pieces of contrasting style and period
